Fourth of July Festivities on the Eastern Shore

Chesapeake Bay Fireworks on Maryland's Eastern Shore

It’s not often that Independence Day celebrations last all week, but that’s the case this year in Kent County, Maryland!

Spend an entire week at Great Oak Manor on the Chesapeake Bay to enjoy THREE nights of fireworks and other fun festivities throughout the County.

Start your week in Rock Hall on July 1 to celebrate the traditions of the watermen at the annual Waterman’s Day. Watch locals compete in an anchor toss and boat docking competitions.

On July 3, enjoy the first of three fireworks shows at the bulkhead in Rock Hall.

Follow it up on July 4 with the Fourth of July Parade in Rock Hall, and then head to Chestertown for another fireworks display. The best view for this show is in Wilmer Park!

On Friday, July 6 head to downtown for Chestertown Independents’ Day First Friday, where you can enjoy the town after dark – visit the gallery exhibits and unique shops, watch special performances, participate in kids’ activities and enjoy a variety of dining options.

We saved the best for last! Head down to our private beach and enjoy a fantastic fireworks display over the Chesapeake Bay on Saturday, July 7!
