A Note from the Innkeeper – September

The most rewarding aspect of our job as innkeepers is meeting all of our wonderful guests. This is why we do what we do. We have met some of the most interesting people of our lives to date. We love their stories and are fascinated by their lives and travels. So a day without guests is a boring day indeed.

Luckily for us that doesn’t happen. This beautiful house and the exquisite grounds are reason enough to be here. The evening sunsets are spectacular and breathtaking at the same time. We are so fortunate to live this every day. However, we get up in the morning for our guests and love making them smile. This was born out this week in an email we received from a couple who had stayed here recently.

We arrived home to Haddon Heights safely. We miss you and the Great Oak Manor already. It is the perfect place to quietly recharge and put life in the right perspective. We truly enjoyed our stay. You both made us feel comfortable and welcome. Your attentiveness and warmth was appreciated by myself, Bob and our Nell. What a wonderful place to be pampered.”

It is notes like this and the reviews you, our guests, write that let us know we are doing the right thing. Thank all of your who have visited and to those we have not met yet, we can’t wait!
